Information Technology Support Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Information Technology Support Technician to provide day‑to‑day technical assistance for desktop, laptop, printer and peripheral equipment across SRTA locations. The role involves on‑site visits, ticket handling and user training.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners and approved peripherals.
• Install, configure and update operating systems and approved software on new devices.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on devices and peripheral equipment.
• Provide daily technical support to users, resolve basic hardware, software and printer faults, and log tickets.
• Prepare and configure user devices in line with SRTA standards and policies.
• Visit SRTA external offices to assess technical needs and resolve tickets within support scope.
• Escalate advanced issues to Level 2 and coordinate connectivity issues with network and systems teams.
• Prepare or update user guides, technical instructions and train users on basic OS and application use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Arabic proficiency (mandatory) and strong English communication skills.
• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory) for travel between SRTA sites.

Required skills

• Windows client OS installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office / Outlook end‑user support.
• Printer, scanner and peripheral setup and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking (LAN/Wi‑Fi connectivity, IP configuration).
• Ticketing / service‑desk tools and ITIL‑style incident handling.
