System Integration Engineer – Dubai

About the role

Shivsys is looking for a System Integration Engineer to join its Dubai team. The role focuses on designing, building and supporting enterprise‑level integration solutions that move data securely between financial and business systems and the Snowflake cloud data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse integration requirements and define data ingestion patterns into Snowflake.
• Build and support integrations with portfolio management, accounting, investment, market data, APIs, databases, file repositories and vendor platforms.
• Design batch, scheduled, file‑based, API‑driven and database integration workflows.
• Ensure secure connectivity, authentication, encryption, data transfer and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Snowflake Data Engineers to validate, transform and deliver data for downstream processing.
• Support historical data migration and back‑fill activities.
• Implement error handling, logging, retry mechanisms, reconciliation checks and ingestion controls.
• Maintain data lineage, metadata and operational documentation.
• Troubleshoot integration issues related to APIs, databases, networks, permissions and source systems.
• Prepare integration specifications, data flow documentation, schedules and operational runbooks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system integration, data integration, ETL/ELT, API integration or middleware.
• Experience working with financial, investment, accounting or market‑data systems.
