Tax Manager

About the role

Gateworth is supporting an investment client in Dubai seeking a Tax Manager to join a centralised finance team. Reporting to the CFO and Financial Controller, the role oversees tax compliance, reporting and finance activities across the corporate business and private asset portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UAE Corporate Tax, UAE VAT and international tax compliance, managing filings, reconciliations and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Own tax systems, processes and internal controls, maintaining transfer pricing documentation and audit‑ready records.
• Develop and maintain a tax calendar to ensure timely filings, registrations and statutory reporting.
• Identify tax risks, implement mitigating controls and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor changes in UAE, GCC and international tax legislation and advise management on business impact.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, operations and external advisors to embed tax considerations in business decisions.
• Support finance system implementation and optimisation to strengthen tax reporting and controls.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting and broader finance support across the group as required.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in tax, compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Strong technical knowledge of UAE/GCC Corporate Tax and VAT regulations.
• Proven experience handling tax audits, assessments and authority enquiries.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and work independently within a small team.
