Teacher - Humanities

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Humanities Teacher for Yasmina British Academy, starting in January 2027. The role is part of a growing network of schools in the United Arab Emirates, delivering inclusive and innovative learning that inspires students and aligns with Abu Dhabi’s educational vision.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver curriculum‑aligned Humanities lessons that cater to the full ability range.
• Organise classroom resources, create engaging displays and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess and record student progress using the Target Tracker system and provide constructive feedback to parents.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy, promoting self‑control and independence.
• Contribute to curriculum action groups, support special events and run a weekly extracurricular activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Teaching experience in the English National Curriculum, preferably across multiple age ranges.
• Demonstrated success teaching the UK National Curriculum.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and remain resilient.
• Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD); experience in more than one international school is desirable.
