Teaching Assistant & Bus Attendant

About the role

The Teaching Assistant and Bus Attendant at Smart Vision School supports student learning, wellbeing, and safety throughout the school day and during transport. The role works closely with teachers and bus drivers to create an inclusive and secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons, preparing materials and providing individual or small‑group support, especially for Students of Determination and ELL learners.
• Promote positive behaviour, social and emotional wellbeing, and report any safeguarding concerns.
• Supervise students on the school bus, ensure safe boarding and alighting, maintain attendance records and assist younger children with seat belts.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and follow school policies on safety and safeguarding.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Patient, caring and supportive attitude towards students.
• Understanding of child safety and wellbeing responsibilities.
• Desirable: previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA or Bus Attendant, and experience in UAE schools.
