Team Leader – Housekeeping

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join the Housekeeping department at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. The role provides direct operational support to ensure the department meets its goals, upholds Jumeirah brand standards and enhances the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with front office to ensure all areas are ready as per departmental needs.
• Liaise with banqueting and food & beverage departments to ensure all areas are ready as per departmental needs.
• Monitor room status continuously to maximise vacant rooms for sale.
• Coordinate with engineering for maintenance repairs across various areas.
• Perform daily checks of guest rooms in the allocated section and report any discrepancies.
• Inspect VIP rooms prior to guest arrival and daily thereafter to maintain standards.
• Ensure pantries are stocked with linen, guest supplies and cleaning supplies according to established par levels.
• Oversee deep‑cleaning programmes according to set schedules.
• Monitor the condition of plants and flowers and inform the florist of any required touch‑ups.
• Adhere to all fire safety procedures.
• Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments promptly.
• Train and coach housekeeping attendants according to the monthly training plan.
• Assist in monthly or quarterly inventories.
• Complete a thorough handover at the end of each shift, logging relevant information or requests.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years experience in an international 5‑star hotel.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role within housekeeping.
• Experience in training and development.
• Experience in both retail and general housekeeping operations.
• High school graduate; degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to take initiative, display leadership, solve problems, delegate, prioritize and achieve goals.
