Technical Buyer

About the role

The Technical Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and supplying spare parts for aviation maintenance, as well as identifying local repair capabilities. The role works closely with service technicians to ensure timely delivery of components and compliance with manufacturer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Source, purchase, and supply spare parts required for aircraft maintenance.
• Identify and evaluate local repair companies for capability to perform repairs.
• Interface with service technicians to understand parts and accessory needs.
• Process technicians' orders, recommend related components, and ensure rapid delivery.
• Conduct physical testing of equipment and vehicles after servicing, including engine, gearbox, steering, brakes, and instrument checks.
• Provide cost information for parts on repair orders.
• Notify service personnel of special or back‑order parts upon receipt.
• Ensure all parts and repairs meet manufacturer requirements.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education (12 years) followed by a recognized mechanical course.
• Minimum four years of experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical assemblies, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Strong communication skills using email, phone, and other methods.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with pneumatic systems.
• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Ability to test engines, gearboxes, steering, brakes, and instruments.
