Technical Coordinator

About the role

A client in Dubai is looking for a Technical Coordinator. The role ensures technical alignment and coordination between Engineering, Procurement, Site, Vendors, Consultants and the Client, supports authority compliance, manages technical reviews of drawings and material submittals, proposes value engineering solutions and helps quality control and execution teams meet project delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical activities between Engineering, Procurement, Site, Vendors, Consultants and the Client, and liaise with Authorities, Clients, Consultants and Vendors to keep the project progressing smoothly.
• Document and communicate technical discussions and follow-ups clearly to stakeholders.
• Maintain familiarity with Authority requirements and support and track the approvals, accreditations and licenses needed.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness and buildability, and review material, shop and product submittals against project specifications.
• Support contractors during construction so that technical intent is followed and technical queries are addressed.
• Monitor and implement technical changes during construction in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Develop and propose value engineering solutions to improve cost, quality and delivery efficiency.
• Implement quality checks and control measures for technical deliverables and give technical guidance to the execution team to reduce rework.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree background.
• Total experience of 10 to 15 years, with at least 10 years in contracting.
• Familiarity with authority requirements and compliance processes.

Required skills

• Technical review of drawings and materials.
• Knowledge of authority compliance procedures.
