Technical Manager - API Platform & Integration Strategy

About the role

Emirates Group is seeking a Technical Manager to lead its Enterprise API Modernisation programme and operate the API Centre of Excellence. Based in Dubai, you will shape a secure, scalable and AI‑ready API ecosystem that supports business transformation across the airline.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor KPIs for API teams, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
• Govern enterprise API standards, promote API‑First practices and modernise legacy integrations.
• Ensure all technologies comply with corporate security policies and manage audit findings.
• Provide third‑level support for incident and problem management, driving root‑cause analysis and preventing recurrence.
• Collaborate with IT teams to deliver products that enable integration agility and AI adoption.
• Set performance objectives, manage performance reviews and foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading API platforms or integration programmes in large organisations.
• Strong understanding of security compliance, patch management and incident resolution.
• Ability to define measurable objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
