Technical Planner – Audio for Event Production

About the role

As a member of the Design & Engineering team, you will lead the technical planning and design of audio systems for event production projects in Dubai. You will translate creative concepts and project briefs into practical, buildable solutions and ensure seamless integration with other technical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the technical planning and design of audio systems from concept through installation and delivery.
• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings in Vectorworks, including system layouts, equipment positioning, cable routing and rigging interfaces.
• Prepare audio system designs, signal‑flow diagrams, equipment specifications, patching information and technical documentation.
• Perform technical calculations to guarantee appropriate coverage, performance and equipment selection.
• Coordinate audio designs with lighting, video, rigging and other disciplines to deliver fully integrated solutions.
• Review venue drawings and architectural plans to identify constraints, risks and interface requirements.
• Support tendering, pre‑production and on‑site installation phases, providing technical guidance and resolving design issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical planning, audio system design or audio engineering for live events, entertainment or broadcast.
• Strong understanding of professional audio components such as loudspeakers, amplification, digital audio networks and signal distribution.
• Solid proficiency with Vectorworks for producing detailed technical drawings.
• Experience coordinating audio requirements with lighting, video, rigging and structural teams.
• Previous work on projects in the Middle East or international event‑production environments.
