Technical Product Owner – Emiratisation

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead the Emiratisation portfolio within its IT division. Based in Dubai, you will work with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver B2B and B2C technology products that support airline and airport operations, digital services, and commercial initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain product backlogs, defining story content, acceptance criteria and ensuring timely sign‑off.
• Prioritise functional features, non‑functional requirements, technical debt, BAU tasks, spikes and ceremonies across sprints.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align product road‑maps with strategic objectives.
• Prepare and present contributions for PI demos and PI planning sessions.
• Identify, track and communicate risks and dependencies to the product portfolio backlog.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product ownership or product management within a technology environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe practices, including PI planning and backlog refinement.
• Ability to act as the voice of the customer and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Agile product management methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
• Backlog grooming and user‑story creation.
• Experience with PI planning and release management.
