Technical Service Specialist – APC/Process Optimization Engineer

About the role

As a Technical Service Specialist – (APC/Process Optimization Engineer) you will act as a plant optimisation specialist focused on Advanced Process Control for the UAE, Kuwait and Pakistan. You will deliver the service portfolio according to ABB standards, ensure safety and satisfy customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to optimisation and APC projects from site surveys and benefit assessments through modelling, commissioning and value realisation.
• Execute service projects at customer sites and coordinate with product teams across the UAE, Kuwait and Pakistan clusters.
• Identify tangible benefits of optimisation solutions for Gulf and Pakistan markets, balancing technical requirements with customer value, delivery quality and business priorities.
• Provide technical support and solve problems in your area of expertise via remote or on‑site service.
• Determine effective service applications, equipment and methods to develop new service offerings cost‑effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience implementing advanced process control and energy/process optimisation projects in energy and process industries.
• Ability to translate APC and optimisation concepts into clear value propositions and technical requirements for customers.
• Passion for customer collaboration and strong communication skills.
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with expertise in oil & gas and power & water sectors.
• Fluency in English for communication with internal teams, customers and external stakeholders.
