Technical Services Engineer II – Cabin Upgrades & IFE

About the role

Emirates Engineering is seeking a Technical Services Engineer II to lead cabin upgrades and reconfigurations focused on inflight entertainment and connectivity. The role ensures fleet airworthiness, reliability and passenger comfort through technical management and support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fleet technical management and continuing airworthiness for cabin upgrades and IFE/Connectivity systems.
• Evaluate manufacturers’ and regulatory technical documents, update Engineering Orders and Special Engineering Workcards.
• Analyse in‑service data (tech logs, pilot reports, defect reports) and implement actions to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Act as technical liaison with aircraft, engine and component manufacturers and internal stakeholders to resolve significant faults and design issues.
• Support acquisition of new aircraft and end‑of‑lease activities with technical expertise.
• Provide technical clarifications for cost optimisation, contract negotiations, repairs and modifications.
• Deliver technical assistance during disruption scenarios, including AOG handling, troubleshooting and deferred defect management.
• Review and analyse technical data to support department KPIs and produce recommendation reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft cabin upgrades, inflight entertainment or connectivity systems.
• Strong knowledge of airworthiness regulations and technical documentation processes.
• Ability to interpret and act on maintenance data and defect trends.
• Effective communication with manufacturers and internal teams.
• Analytical mindset with focus on reliability and cost optimisation.
