Technical Services Specialist – Retail Management

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Services Specialist to support Aldar Retail Management’s technical services strategy across large‑scale retail and mixed‑use assets. You will ensure optimal performance of HVAC and other MEP systems, guide fit‑out reviews, and drive compliance in both hard and soft facilities management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the mall’s complete HVAC system, approve modifications and ensure tenant compatibility.
• Manage additional MEP services including BMS, vertical transportation, fire alarm/firefighting and building infrastructure.
• Scope, review and evaluate Hard & Soft FM service tenders, providing technical input during negotiations.
• Assist with facility operations, fit‑out delivery, CAPEX budgeting and asset lifecycle reporting.
• Monitor annual FM budgets, ensure SLA compliance and maintain health & safety standards.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with service providers to improve performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months (4 years) experience in HVAC, MEP or facilities management within retail or mixed‑use environments.
• Proven ability to evaluate tenders, manage contracts and support FM operations.
• Strong understanding of technical standards, building compliance and asset lifecycle planning.
