Technical Support Engineer

About the role

As a Technical Support Engineer you will be the primary point of contact for customers worldwide, providing pre‑sales and post‑sales assistance for Qualitrol’s high‑voltage monitoring solutions. You will work closely with Engineering and Field Service teams to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on transformer, GIS, grid and circuit‑breaker monitoring devices.
• Provide remote support for installation, commissioning, maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct internal and external training sessions on monitoring solutions.
• Configure and integrate SCADA communications using Modbus, DNP3 and IEC 61850.
• Track, log and escalate incidents in Salesforce, ensuring timely resolution.
• Prepare technical reports and document knowledge for future reference.

Required profile

• Result‑driven, self‑reliant professional with a strong background in high‑voltage asset monitoring.
• Experience with Qualitrol monitoring products (Online DGA, QTMS, QPDM, QBCM, BEN600, IDM+).
• Familiarity with SCADA integration and IEC 61850 protocols.
