Technology Supplier & Cost Management Specialist

About the role

The Manager, Cost & Supplier Management will lead technology spend governance and supplier performance across the Digital Technology & Innovation portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, the role partners with Technology, Finance, Procurement and Business teams to ensure cost transparency, maximise value from investments and deliver sustainable savings.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end visibility and governance of technology expenditures across software, cloud, infrastructure, telecom, managed services and professional services.
• Develop and maintain spend forecasts, financial models, dashboards and executive reports to support budgeting and decision‑making.
• Partner with Technology and Finance to build business cases, conduct TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR and pay‑back analyses for major initiatives.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals and supplier management activities to optimise value and service performance.
• Establish supplier governance frameworks, conduct regular performance reviews and manage risk, compliance and innovation opportunities.
• Identify and execute cost‑optimization initiatives across licensing, cloud services, infrastructure and workforce spend.
• Maintain a technology savings portfolio, track realised benefits and ensure their sustainability.
• Use data analytics to detect spend anomalies, supplier risks and opportunities for operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in technology finance, IT commercial management, vendor management or strategic sourcing.
• Proven track record of managing large technology spend portfolios and delivering measurable cost‑optimization outcomes.
• Experience in large enterprise environments with exposure to technology procurement, software licensing, cloud and infrastructure cost management.
