Testing Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Testing Lead to drive quality across a large, multi‑release transformation programme in Dubai. You will own the end‑to‑end testing strategy for a complex estate that includes order management, warehouse management, point of sale, and digital commerce platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the test strategy and plan for system integrations, covering SIT and UAT phases.
• Control partner deliverables, reviewing test scenarios and ensuring they reflect real business processes.
• Validate phase readiness by confirming environments, test data and prerequisites are in place.
• Monitor daily test execution, surface blockers early and re‑plan when necessary.
• Govern defect lifecycle from triage to closure, assigning severity, priority and ownership.
• Hold integrators and testing vendors accountable to agreed resolution times and escalate with evidence.
• Produce daily and weekly reporting that accurately attributes delays to their true causes.
• Establish entry and exit criteria for each phase and provide evidence‑backed gate recommendations.
• Lead user acceptance testing, onboarding business testers and tracking completion.
• Provide the quality perspective for go/no‑go decisions and manage the QTest test‑management tool.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software testing experience, with at least 4 years leading large, multi‑system programmes.
• Hands‑on ownership of SIT and UAT across integrated landscapes.
• Deep experience in integration testing, including message flows, middleware and APIs.
• Background in retail or consumer technology such as order management, warehouse management, POS or e‑commerce.
• Proven ability to manage testing delivered by integrators or offshore partners.
• Day‑to‑day ownership of a test‑management platform.
• Experience writing and defending phase exit criteria.
