Translator & Document Quality Officer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Translator & Document Quality Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for delivering accurate Arabic‑English translations while ensuring that all documents meet the highest quality and compliance standards for an Islamic banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of banking documents between Arabic and English, maintaining cultural relevance and consistency.
• Proofread both original and translated materials to eliminate errors, inconsistencies, and omissions.
• Merge and standardise documents from multiple sources, ensuring uniform format, structure, and tone.
• Verify that all translated content complies with regulatory, compliance and governance requirements specific to Islamic banking.
• Act as the primary contact for internal departments on translation needs and document‑quality issues.
• Stay current with Islamic banking terminology and industry trends to provide precise, context‑aware translations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase translation efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional translation experience, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
• Strong understanding of Islamic banking operations, financial terminology and cultural nuances.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage translation projects end‑to‑end.
