Transmission Line & Grid Interconnection Inspector

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking an experienced Transmission Line and Grid Interconnection Inspector to support a confidential power‑generation IPP project in Dubai. The role involves supervising inspection activities for transmission lines, grid connections and related electrical infrastructure throughout the construction, testing and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect transmission line and interconnection works, including foundations, poles/towers, conductors, insulators, cable routing and earthing.
• Verify installation compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards and safety requirements.
• Review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, inspection records, material approvals and testing documentation.
• Witness and document conductor, earthing, insulation, continuity and pre‑energization tests.
• Coordinate interface activities with utility representatives, EPC contractor, electrical engineers and commissioning teams.
• Raise site observations, NCRs and punch‑list items; maintain daily inspection reports and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience inspecting transmission lines, grid interconnections, substations or electrical infrastructure.
• Experience in power‑generation or utility projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction, utility interface, testing, QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• UAE/GCC utility interface experience is an advantage.
