Tunnel / Civil Inspector – Construction Supervision

About the role

Parsons is seeking a detail‑oriented Tunnel / Civil Inspector to join its construction supervision team in Dubai. You will be responsible for inspecting and supervising tunnel and gallery construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising tunnel and gallery construction, including NATM and temporary works for station interfaces, shafts, and associated underground works.
• Monitor and supervise NATM excavation cycles, ensuring activities follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and support arrangements.
• Coordinate with Geotechnical and Engineering teams to assess ground conditions and implement appropriate temporary or permanent support measures.
• Track geological face mapping, rock quality, groundwater levels, and other adverse conditions to align with design assumptions.
• Monitor tunnel convergence, settlement, deformation, and instrumentation data, collaborating with the Instrumentation & Monitoring team.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months (4 years) experience in tunnel or civil construction inspection.
• Familiarity with TBM and NATM construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards for underground works.

• TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) operations.
