Usher Supervisor – Event Management

About the role

The Usher Supervisor leads and coordinates ushering operations during sporting, cultural or live events, ensuring smooth crowd movement, accurate guest assistance and a positive attendee experience while maintaining safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise ushering activities across event zones, ensuring guests are greeted professionally and guided to correct seating.
• Lead, brief and deploy usher teams according to the operational plan, monitoring performance and providing on‑the‑spot guidance.
• Monitor crowd flow before, during and after the event to avoid congestion and ensure safety.
• Liaise with event management, security, ticketing and venue operations to coordinate real‑time updates, seating changes and access restrictions.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints and special assistance requests, maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Ensure compliance with venue policies, safety regulations and assist in emergency procedures or evacuations as directed.
• Report incidents, guest feedback and operational challenges to the Event Manager and participate in post‑event debriefs.

Required profile

• Prior experience supervising ushers or guest services teams in sporting, cultural or live events.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure environments.
• Good problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
