Security Operations Representative

About the role

The Security Operations Representative ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff and assets at SSMC by leading contracted security personnel and overseeing compliance with protective services policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operational tasks and special assignments as directed by the Security Supervisor/Manager.
• Prepare and review daily activity reports of security personnel and submit them to the supervisor.
• Provide 24‑hour call coverage for emergencies, crises, or operational needs.
• Respond promptly to verbal and written inquiries and coordinate with line supervisors for resolutions.
• Offer technical expertise to identify potential security issues and support police duties on the facility.
• Implement operational plans and policies, and follow up on security breach investigations with contracted staff.
• Manage sub‑ordinates, ensure team development, and resolve complaints.
• Work in shift patterns to maintain 24/7 security operations throughout the year.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of relevant security experience, preferably in a large healthcare facility.
• Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
