Utilities Interface Manager

About the role

The Utilities Interface Manager will lead the coordination of all utility requirements across assigned projects, ensuring seamless integration between infrastructure, design, construction, authorities and external stakeholders. This role is critical to delivering projects on time and meeting all regulatory and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain utility strategies, interface management plans, registers and coordination procedures.
• Identify existing and proposed utility networks, assess conflicts, and manage diversions, relocations and connections.
• Coordinate with utility providers, government authorities, consultants, contractors and internal teams to secure approvals, NOCs and permits.
• Maintain an interface register detailing points, responsibilities, dependencies, risks and required actions.
• Lead utility and interface coordination meetings and resolve conflicts or risks promptly.
• Monitor utility applications and approvals against project schedules and report status to leadership.
• Support testing, commissioning, energisation, final connections and handover of utility services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in utility coordination and interface management on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of power, water, wastewater, stormwater, telecommunications, district cooling and gas services.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including authorities and utility companies.
