Utilities Technician I - Factory

About the role

The Utilities Technician I will support the operation and maintenance of the boiler house and related utilities in our Abu Dhabi factory, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient performance of all equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boiler house machinery including boiler, thermal fluid heater, air compressor, dryers, pumps, water‑treatment systems and softeners.
• Troubleshoot, repair and service electrical and mechanical components, valves, regulators and control circuits.
• Conduct boiler water quality analysis and manage chemical handling procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, food‑safety, firefighting and emergency procedures.
• Maintain asset data in SAP and monitor equipment consumption and performance.
• Provide flexible support to other areas as needed, working varied hours.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with operation and maintenance of boiler house equipment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Food/FMCG environment.
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand relevant codes and standards.
• Basic communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.
