Warehouse Supervisor (Logistics)

About the role

To arrange and supervise the receipts, storage, and dispatches of products to achieve the company's business plan. Deputize the Distribution Centre Manager in his absence.

Key responsibilities

• Resource planning and utilization: plan daily effective use of resources and manage floor and delivery operations to maximise productivity.
• Incoming and delivery trucks routing & scheduling: organise daily truck off‑loading and route planning to meet delivery lead‑time targets and optimise fleet utilisation.
• Generate pick slips and distribute them to the picking team to support the delivery schedule.
• Stock accuracy: ensure quantities loaded/received match orders, conduct weekly cycle counts and reconcile inventory records.
• Delivery returns: verify quantity and quality of goods returned from trade to avoid complaints and stock variances.
• Invoice delivery confirmation: ensure all invoices are returned to the warehouse on the same day, signed by the customer as proof of delivery.
• Incoming/outgoing product quality and SOPs: inspect trailers, maintain QA standards, train staff and produce regular stock and productivity reports.

Required profile

• Graduate in B.Com or equivalent.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience in logistics and supply chain.
• Good knowledge of quality‑assurance elements and their implementation.
• Strong communication, initiative, ownership and leadership qualities.
