Water Quality Technician

About the role

The Water Quality Technician (ALSS Technician) ensures the safe and efficient operation of the Aquatic Life Support System (ALSS) that underpins the health of animals, staff, contractors, guests and overall theme‑park operations. This role involves routine inspections, water testing, and maintenance of water‑treatment equipment in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine water tests, analyses and record accurate data on ALSS checklists.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, valves and related systems.
• Operate the Life Support System according to SOPs and maintain chemical storage areas safely.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repairs and major/minor repairs of ALSS equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and inventory of tools, parts and chemical drums.
• Follow safe handling, usage, storage and disposal practices for hazardous chemicals and waste.
• Complete required trainings and uphold professional competencies.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift/move loads up to 45 kg.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a rotating schedule.
• Comfort working in confined spaces and with hazardous chemicals.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict SOPs and safety regulations.
