Project Engineer - Power System Studies

About the role

As a Project Engineer in Power System Studies at SEL, you will deliver solutions that protect and control critical electrical infrastructure worldwide, working with cutting‑edge grid technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead on complex project design, execution and support, using tools such as PSSE, ETAP and RTDS.
• Identify, prepare and present proposals for SEL equipment, services and systems.
• Lead project teams to resolve customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety standards.
• Mentor and develop professional staff, providing supervision as needed.

Required profile

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with electric power systems or industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of power system protection, control, integration, automation and communications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (minimum 25%).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
