Welding Inspector – Pipeline

About the role

EPIC Piping is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to join its pipeline team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and compliance of welds used in oil and gas pipeline projects, adhering to international standards and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and non‑destructive testing (NDT) inspections of welds on pipeline structures.
• Review welding procedures, specifications, and related documentation for compliance.
• Document inspection results, report defects, and track corrective actions.
• Ensure all activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with welders and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas pipeline sector.
• Engineering degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS‑CWI certification with at least 2 years post‑certification experience.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Knowledge of API 1104 welding standards.
• Familiarity with CRA welding practices.
• Proficiency in visual inspection techniques.
• Experience with NDT methods for weld assessment.
