Workshop Operative – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The Workshop Operative provides operational, housekeeping, material‑handling and logistical support across various workshop areas such as Composite, Structures, Paint, Hydraulic and Interiors. The role ensures tools, equipment and consumables are ready for technicians and that workshop environments remain safe and clean.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians, mechanics and certifying staff with workshop support activities as instructed.
• Prepare work areas and arrange tools, equipment, materials and consumables required for tasks.
• Support safe movement, loading, unloading and positioning of components and equipment.
• Carry out cleaning of components, equipment, carpets, galley carts and preparation of items for maintenance.
• Handle components, tools and materials carefully to avoid damage or contamination.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and housekeeping of workshops, storage and wash areas.
• Keep walkways, access routes and emergency equipment locations clear of obstructions.
• Clean tools, machinery and work areas after use and return items to designated storage.
• Assist with arrangement, identification, movement and disposal of materials and waste according to procedures.
• Report hazards, spills, damaged items or unsafe conditions promptly to authorised personnel.
• Attend required training and safety briefings and follow company procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Fluent in English.
• 0–2 years of experience in a workshop, industrial or aviation support environment (preferred).
• UAE Driving Licence (preferred).
• Customer focus, teamwork, effective communication and personal accountability.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office.
