Workshop Production Controller

About the role

The Workshop Production Controller manages day‑to‑day execution of maintenance activities in an aircraft component workshop, ensuring work follows schedule, regulatory and quality standards, and that documentation is accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily execution of assigned workshop maintenance tasks and align them with the plan from the Workshop Planning Engineer.
• Monitor real‑time task progress and assist technicians with minor technical or process issues.
• Ensure job cards are correctly filled, signed, and closed promptly.
• Coordinate routing of components through workstations such as teardown, cleaning, inspection, repair, assembly, testing, including outsourced work.
• Verify availability and issue of parts, tools, and consumables with Logistics and Stores.
• Update AMOS with work‑in‑progress status and help generate component release documentation.
• Flag material shortages, tooling delays, or other issues to the Workshop Supervisor or Planning Engineer.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining traceable and complete maintenance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering, Aeronautical, Electro‑Mechanical or equivalent (or higher diploma/certificate).
• 3+ years experience in component workshop or aircraft maintenance production control, planning, or records within an airline or MRO environment.
• Good understanding of turnaround time drivers and workflow bottlenecks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with maintenance management systems (AMOS preferred, TRAX or similar).
• Knowledge of component maintenance documentation (CMMs, Service Bulletins, Engineering Orders).
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (EASA Part‑145, GCAA CAR 145, FAA 145).
