About the role

NMDC Energy PJSC is seeking a qualified 2nd Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in day‑to‑day engine‑room operations and vessel/tug movements. The role ensures all machinery and safety systems function safely, efficiently and within defined parameters.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Chief Engineer in daily running of vessel/tug operations in line with NMDC regulations and procedures.
Maintain engine‑room and deck machinery to guarantee smooth operational flow.
Verify that all safety and mechanical systems operate within required limits.
Take ownership of personal and division objectives and respond to stakeholder needs.
Develop and sustain strategic client and contractor relationships.
Promote horizontal and vertical teamwork across departments.
Communicate clearly, manage conflicts and mediate between multiple stakeholder interests.

Required profile

Degree or Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
COC – Certificate of Competency as 2E.
Minimum five (5) years of sea‑going experience.
