3D/BIM Modeler – Airport Infrastructure

About the role

Artelia is seeking an experienced 3D/BIM Modeler to develop accurate, coordinated models for airport infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role covers the full design lifecycle from concept through detailed design and construction documentation, supporting airside, landside, utilities and specialist systems.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage 3D models of runways, taxiways, utilities, drainage, grading and airport equipment, integrating survey, GIS and point‑cloud data.
• Produce construction drawings, sections, profiles, schedules and quantity take‑offs linked to the master model.
• Maintain object libraries, families and naming conventions in line with the BIM Execution Plan.
• Share and coordinate discipline models within the Common Data Environment, run clash detection and model health reviews.
• Support 4D planning, constructability studies and asset handover, and generate high‑quality renderings and animations for stakeholder review.
• Utilise approved AI and scripting tools to accelerate modelling while validating outputs against engineering data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in civil engineering, architecture, geomatics, BIM or a related field.
• Minimum five years of 3D/BIM modelling experience on airport, transportation or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and adhere to ISO 19650 standards.

Required skills

• AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit (model structuring, surfaces, corridors, utilities, families).
• Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360.
• Visualization tools such as 3ds Max, Twinmotion or Lumion.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans and Common Data Environments.
• Experience with Dynamo, Python, visual scripting, point‑cloud processing and GIS integration.
