AC Technician – Hotel Engineering

About the role

The Engineering team at Meliá Desert Palm Dubai seeks a skilled AC Technician to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems, ensuring guest comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment across the resort.
• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance according to hotel standards.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, conduct repairs and minimise equipment downtime.
• Carry out daily inspections, record operating readings and report abnormalities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and fire‑brigade duties.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as an AC/HVAC Technician or similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Physically fit, able to work in hot, confined or demanding environments and lift heavy equipment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of air‑conditioning, ventilation, heating and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC equipment.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures.
