AC Technician – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

The AC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of both split and central air‑conditioning systems across residential sites. The role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional who can work independently, diagnose problems accurately, and deliver reliable repairs while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install new split and central AC units, including indoor/outdoor mounting, piping, and electrical connections.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Diagnose and repair faults in cooling, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Charge/recharge refrigerant gas, detect and repair leaks.
• Service and repair ductwork, chillers, air‑handling units (AHUs) and fan‑coil units (FCUs).
• Test system performance after installations or repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Respond to emergency breakdown calls promptly.
• Maintain accurate service logs, parts usage records, and job reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of AC technician experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Ability to work independently on residential sites and follow safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of split and central AC systems, including chillers, ducted systems, AHUs and FCUs.
• Proficiency in refrigerant handling, gas charging, and leak detection.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills covering wiring, capacitors, compressors, motors and thermostats.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with tools such as gauges, multimeters, vacuum pumps and pipe benders.
