Accommodation Assistant

About the role

The Accommodation Assistant supports the camp supervisor in managing room and bed allocations, ensuring residents receive basic amenities and that camp operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in allocating rooms, beds and basic amenities (linen, uniforms, accessories) for new arrivals and inter‑area transfers.
• Respond to casualties and medical emergencies in coordination with the Safety Operations Center.
• Attend to residents’ accommodation needs in line with HR welfare programmes and local regulations, maintaining respectful conduct.
• Maintain accurate inventory of camp resources, resident counts and ensure no unauthorized occupants.
• Oversee daily laundry operations, including receipt, counting, inventory of uniforms, reporting missing or damaged items and handling related invoices.
• Coordinate and communicate training programmes and deployment information to residents, keeping proper records.
• Conduct orientation for new residents on camp rules, do’s and don’ts.
• Record and hand over all camp administration activities (inspections, incidents, accidents, violations, drills, asset issues) for audit and shift handover.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Polite, humble demeanor with respect for all persons, religions and communities.
• Ability to work in a team and follow line‑manager instructions.
• Good record‑keeping and reporting skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations in coordination with SOC.
