Account Executive, Financial Communications

About the role

Edelman is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and execution of integrated communications campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with account teams to deliver high-quality client service, develop compelling content, build media relationships, and contribute to strategic communications initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day management of client accounts and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality work.
• Develop press releases, media pitches, key messages, briefing documents, fact sheets, bylined articles, Q&As, newsletters and other communications materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers and key stakeholders across relevant industries.
• Identify proactive media opportunities and support outreach to secure earned coverage.
• Monitor traditional, digital and social media conversations and provide timely insights to clients.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, stakeholder landscapes and audience insights.
• Support planning and execution of media events, press conferences, product launches and executive interviews.
• Collaborate with internal digital, creative, social, strategy and production teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications or an agency environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience writing media materials and client communications.
• Understanding of the regional and international media landscape and financial services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with media monitoring and database platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
