- Edit press releases, articles, opinion pieces, quotes, speeches, interview briefings, talking points and Q&A material.
- Coordinate English and Arabic content adaptation, review and approval.
- Identify speaking opportunities and build media lists and relationships with journalists and outlets.
- Pitch stories and interviews, respond to media enquiries and act as on-site media point of contact for major events.
- Monitor media and reputation issues, escalate risks early and update crisis-communications manuals, response structures and holding statements.
- Develop the annual social media roadmap and manage day-to-day social account activity (excluding community management).

- 4-6 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications or account management, ideally in an agency or embedded client environment.
- Professional fluency in English and Arabic, with the ability to write, adapt and edit content in both languages.
- Proven media-relations experience, including pitching, journalist engagement and event support.
- Experience with communications calendars, crisis communications, reputation monitoring and social media roadmaps.
Required skills
- Strong writing and editing across press releases, articles, speeches and presentations.
- Client and stakeholder management, with the confidence to coordinate input and manage approvals.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, able to prioritise multiple deadlines.
The role is onsite in Abu Dhabi. Acorn Strategy describes itself as a full-service communications consultancy with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Melbourne, Perth and London.
