Account Manager - Government & Free Zone Acquisition (UAE Nationals)

About the role

This role grows noqodi's government and free-zone business in Dubai: it wins new federal, emirate-level and free-zone entities and keeps and grows the government accounts noqodi already serves. As the client's main point of contact, you understand how each entity collects payments, propose the right noqodi solution and see it through from first meeting to go-live and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build a pipeline of federal entities, Dubai and other emirate government departments and free-zone authorities, and win mandates for payment gateway, POS, Pay by Link, wallet, direct debit and refunds and disbursements.
• Drive onboarding of government entities and offer free-zone authorities a solution for their own collections, including the SME bundle (Business-in-a-Box).
• Own assigned government accounts, grow them by adding payment methods and services, hold regular account reviews and act as escalation point for client issues.
• Design solutions with the Manager – Acquiring Business, prepare proposals and leads tenders and RFPs.
• Coordinate onboarding with the client's IT team and track projects to go-live, then follow up on adoption and satisfaction.
• Track government digital-payment initiatives and regulation, share competitor activity and client feedback, keep the CRM up to date and report pipeline, wins and account health monthly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 5-8 years in sales, business development or account management with government clients.
• Experience in payments, banking, fintech or government technology services strongly preferred.
• Track record of winning and growing government accounts in the UAE, and experience with government procurement, tenders and vendor registration.
• Existing relationships with federal, Dubai or Abu Dhabi government entities or free zones are a strong advantage.
• Strong communicator and presenter in Arabic and English, including formal written Arabic.

Required skills

• Understanding of how government entities collect fees and payments, and of payment products such as payment gateway, POS, Pay by Link, wallets and direct debit.
• Knowledge of card and wallet payments, settlement and reconciliation.
• Awareness of UAE digital-government programmes and payment platforms.
• Commercial judgement and ability to work with technical, operations and product teams.
