Account Opening Officer - WBG and IBG Customer Onboarding

About the role

ADIB Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is hiring an Account Opening Officer in Dubai (Jazfa) to support the WBG and IBG customer onboarding process. The role covers account opening checks, document handling and CRM workflows for WBG, IBG and related accounts, acting as a backup to the account opening team.

Key responsibilities

• Process account opening checks for WBG, IBG and related accounts (FI, NBFI, community, escrow, Iraq/UK) and maintain related documentation according to time standards, authorities and operational policies.
• Maintain the CRM workflow for UAE and SRT accounts and for IBG countries, and ensure account data and identification details match the supporting documents.
• Handle account opening cases received from ADIB Iraq and ADIB UK, including maps, STI, STO, new RIMs and WBG accounts, and advise business on discrepancies or missing documents.
• Follow up with the service team, submit documents to CCU through CRM on time, and perform end-to-end account opening in AMBIT/CRM/Mosaic/Phoenix.
• Open internal accounts such as Map, STI, STS, STO and Vostro, and open new RIMs for IBG and CBG accounts with complete documents.
• Ensure KYC/EDD is obtained for high-risk countries, refer non-compliant cases to GCD, and keep processes aligned with ADIB policy and operational procedures.
• Perform account reconciliation, resolve outstanding items and escalate long-standing ones; investigate customer and business inquiries.
• Take part in training programmes, support trainees and new recruits, and complete additional assignments given by line management.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of banking account opening.
• Ability to build and sustain executive-level and internal relationships.
• Good written and oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills, and knowledge of basic customer service principles.

• Proficiency in general office systems and PC skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office products.
