Accountant – Dubai Marketing Agency

About the role

Our client, a growing marketing agency in Dubai, is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accountant to support day‑to‑day finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payment requests, supplier payments and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate general‑ledger entries, financial records, supporting schedules and organised documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and client accounts.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities, management reports and budgets.
• Prepare and issue invoices for retainers, projects and ad‑hoc scopes.
• Coordinate with Client Services on billing instructions, purchase orders and invoice‑status updates.
• Maintain aged‑receivables and collections trackers; follow up on outstanding payments and escalate discrepancies.
• Maintain commercial, contract and renewal trackers, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Ensure compliance with internal approval workflows, finance processes and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Previous experience in a service‑based or professional‑services environment.
• Experience in marketing, advertising or creative‑agency settings is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
• Confident communication and follow‑up abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, accountable and comfortable working independently.
