Accountant – Finance Operations & Audit Support (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading AI lab to engage an experienced accountant who will help train advanced language models on finance‑related documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. This remote, part‑time position offers flexible hours and immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI‑generated monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages.
• Develop audit request schedules, PBC documentation, and vendor/expense audit trail spreadsheets.
• Produce accounts payable/receivable aging reports, budget‑to‑actual variance summaries, and internal control walkthroughs.
• Assist with SOX testing memos and other audit‑support deliverables.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, or internal/external audit support.
• Hands‑on ownership of close reconciliations and audit request schedules.
• Deep fluency in GAAP and PBC documentation standards.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, macros).
• Expert‑level document, spreadsheet, and slide deck craftsmanship.
• Strong written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
