Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform bank, accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Assist in preparing monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Process and review supplier payments, employee expenses and banking transactions.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate cash position records.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely processing and follow‑up.
• Liaise with vendors, customers and internal stakeholders to resolve finance‑related queries.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation.
• Prepare VAT returns and support taxation compliance and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system and support process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA are advantageous.
• 2 to 4 years of accounting experience.
• Strong experience in payment processing, banking operations and reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of taxation, VAT compliance and financial reporting.
• Understanding of IFRS and accounting best practices.
• Must be based in the UAE (open to candidates without UAE work experience).
• Immediately available candidates preferred.
