Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

A leading construction company in the UAE is looking for a qualified and detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Finance team. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting activities and supporting project financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions, journal entries, and general ledger activities.
• Manage accounts payable, supplier invoices, and payment processing.
• Monitor accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support project cost tracking, expense allocation, and financial reporting.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in the UAE construction or contracting industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP or equivalent accounting system.
