Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Abu Dhabi. The role will ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, support month‑end closing and maintain key account reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain shareholder accounts, record transactions and keep balances up‑to‑date.
• Record and reconcile Alaan Card transactions, manage supporting documentation and monitor outstanding items.
• Perform intercompany account reconciliations and ensure balances match across entities.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
• Execute day‑to‑day bookkeeping and accounting entries in the ERP system.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities, including posting entries, reviewing ledger balances and completing account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
• Provide additional support to the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping, General Ledger, bank reconciliation and month‑end closing.
• Experience with intercompany and shareholder account reconciliation is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of accounting/ERP systems.
