About the role
We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Sharjah. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting and VAT regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Calculate and verify VAT, assist with VAT return preparation and filing in line with UAE regulations.
- Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers and auditors on financial matters.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations.
