Accountant

About the role

Jalsa Design, a luxury multi-brand furniture showroom in Dubai, is hiring an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant to independently manage daily accounting operations and keep accurate financial records. The position is full-time and on-site, with immediate joining required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting entries, bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, supplier payments, client invoicing and collections.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, month-end closing and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor expenses, purchase orders, inventory transactions and stock reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Process payroll and support financial audits with accurate documentation.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining financial accuracy.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and accounting practices.
• Fluent English and Arabic, or fluent English and Hindi.
• Valid UAE driving licence and own car; candidates serving a notice period will not be considered.
• Experience in furniture, retail or trading businesses is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and take full responsibility for daily accounting operations.
