Accountant

About the role

Stamina11, a professional gymnastics club in Dubai Studio City, is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial administration. The role covers bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, payment processing, payroll support, inventory reconciliation and support for UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance. It is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the General Manager / Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post transactions, supplier invoices and bills; maintain the general ledger and accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly, petty cash and credit card transactions weekly, and prepare supplier payments and payroll data.
• Prepare monthly reports and financial statements, support month-end and year-end closing, and assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow monitoring.
• Perform monthly inventory checks and reconcile physical stock with recorded balances.
• Assist with UAE VAT returns and Corporate Tax compliance, and coordinate with accountants, tax consultants and auditors.
• Help implement financial controls, support the General Manager with finance and admin tasks, and resolve financial queries with suppliers, freelancers and instructors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least three years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, payment processing and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Good English and the ability to work independently and with management and operational teams.
• Preferred: ACCA, CPA or CMA, and experience in gymnastics, sports or fitness businesses.

• QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero or similar bookkeeping or ERP software.
• Microsoft Excel and basic financial data analysis.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
