Accountant – Medical Device Company, Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join a reputable medical device company in Dubai. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and review vendor payments, invoices, and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Support financial and management reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required schedules and reports.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain vendor master data and support procurement‑related accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS.
• Background in a B2B multinational environment, preferably in the medical device sector.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Understanding of UAE VAT compliance.
