Accountant – Middle East Region

About the role

Cartrack, a world‑leading smart mobility SaaS company listed on Nasdaq and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, is seeking an Accountant to support its Middle East operations. You will work in a collaborative, fast‑growing environment, providing financial guidance and ensuring compliance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end financial statements, journal entries, schedules and reconciliations for Middle East entities.
• Manage financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, and cash flow.
• Provide financial guidance and support capital allocation decisions for the business.
• Ensure compliance with group policies, local regulations and liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and banks.
• Identify and execute process‑improvement initiatives and handle ad‑hoc accounting assignments.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with 3–5 years at an international audit firm.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent English communication, initiative, meticulousness and a team‑player attitude.
