Accountant – Payables

About the role

Dubai Taxi Company is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant – Payables to join its Finance team. The successful candidate will manage the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining compliance with internal policies and UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, verify accuracy, and obtain required approvals.
• Prepare and execute vendor payments in line with company policies.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth payment cycles.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax regulations, and internal audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
